Food Fact du Jour: Fufu

Fufu is the most common dish eaten in Ghana and is eaten with the hands. It is made from cooked cassava, plantain, yams, or a combination. The mixture is pounded until it forms a sticky starch that sticks to your fingers. The mixture is formed into a ball and dipped in water then wrapped in plastic wrap. When ready to serve, fufu is surrounded with soup usually made of goat, beef, or chicken. Interested in trying fufu?
