A Deeper Understanding of Love and Sacrifice!
Debbie and Ray from Colorado had the awesome opportunity to travel around Ghana for two weeks with a mutual friend. Along their way, they met wonderful people, including Sister Stan. Thank You, Ray and Debbie for traveling to Ghana. Thank You for sharing your impressions of Nazareth Home for God's Children in the Village of Sang. (Mama LeeLee)
By the Grace of God, I recently visited Ghana, Africa. This amazing blessing included a visit to the Nazareth Home for God’s Children and Sister Stan. Having visited orphanages before and been involved with community outreach efforts, I felt prepared for the experience. However, Sister Stan and the Nazareth Home for God’s children provided a beautiful life changing experience for me. We were greeted by heart-warming, joyful children singing and celebrating our visit. I found their longing for affection and attention beyond endearing. While visiting, I was gifted with Sister Stan’s attention as she gave a tour of the facilities sharing the educational opportunities, housing, meal provisions and general care with which she provides these children while relying almost entirely on donations to survive. I began to wonder how Sister Stan does all of this!
Yet, despite the difficulties, she accomplishes extraordinary things for these children and society. I began to realize the selflessness and commitment with which Sister Stan approaches God’s call to provide for these children. As I’ve said, the experience was life changing and an opportunity for me and anyone who visits to enhance our appreciation for the life we have. I came away with a better understanding of sacrifice and the meaning of God’s deep love as expressed by and through Sister Stan. Sister Stan appreciates donations that enable her to continue the good work with the children in the North of Ghana. Quality education and medical care are essential to her life saving efforts. https://www.ourafricanfamily.org/donate
